The Eco Smart Iot EcoControl solution automatically acts to shift variable electrical loads to off-peak times, and to be available at other times as part of an Energy Demand Response system.
By automatically controlling hot water cylinders, EV chargers, HVAC and underfloor heating, etc these can be scheduled to take advantage of off-peak rates and ‘free hour of power’ electricity schemes. The trick is to do this whilst minimising any inconvenience, it’s easy to override the Eco Mode switch in the App to charge the EV right now or make sure there is plenty of hot water for guests.
If you have battery storage, the system can be configured to draw down from the batteries at peak times and top up during off-peak times (if it is not charged from the solar panels).
